Dottie Byrd and Healthcare for Seniors

This week, member spotlight is on Dottie Byrd at Healthcare for Seniors.

Interagency member Dottie Byrd has been selling Insurance for Seniors for over twelve years, including Medicare Supplements, Medicare Drug Plans, Medicare Advantage Plans, and Long Term Care insurance. She is certified in Long Term Care, CLTC, a professional designation, and holds a BA degree from LSU in Government.

She is licensed to sell insurance in Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida.

In her capacity as an insurance counselor to seniors, Dottie conducts seminars for civic and church groups as well as for ICL at Young Harris College. She also teaches a class called “Plan Now for Long Term Living” at Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, Florida. Dottie says that her insurance field is ever-changing and that she is required to take continuing education courses in addition to keeping up with new senior insurance products as they come on the market.

Dottie is a long time member of the Interagency Group and serves as the Publicity Chairman. She is also an ambassador for the Blairsville Union Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Tri-State Business Women. For more information about Insurance for Seniors, please call (706) 835-1718.
